Moving again...

After living here for several months, I started to look for another place to live. I had rented a room from a seemingly nice lady, but as soon as another woman rented the other available room, I started to get confirmation for things I already had my suspicions about. For example, she (the landlady) gossips about everything that goes on here and makes it look as if we (the other woman and me) don't do much. I also found out early on that she told her friends that it was strange that I didn't clean the house for her, because I'm not working. (I'm just renting a room, I'm not hired to do everything for her!) She also tells new renters not to leave food in pans or dirty dishes around, however, she leaves her pans regularly for several days (and sometimes even longer, until fungus grows on whatever is in there)!
There is much more going on, but several weeks ago I found an apartment and ever since I'm trying to be away as much as I can. My official move is the coming weekend.

I don't have much energy, so I can't do much. I have moved a carload of stuff, bought and assembled a wardrobe, bought lights and stuff I need for my kitchen and this week I'll be moving the rest and collect furniture from people giving it away or selling it very cheap. Today is sofa-day... :) Thankfully I don't have to drag the sofa alone, a good friend is coming along to help me.

I'm really anxious to move, the new place feels so much better and calmer. Yesterday I was there to drop off some stuff, since I was near and just enjoyed the peace and quiet whilst having a coffee. I don't know what it is exactly, but for some reason I don't get much rest in my room. I have difficulties sleeping and wake up around 6~6:30 am. It is almost if there is something in this house that causes unrest. I'm not the only one feeling that, the other woman who rents here has the same impression.

This morning I woke up with a bad cold, my nose is blocked, my throat is infected and one of my ears hurts bad. It isn't a good sign, especially since this week is a busy one for me. Even though it's just a relatively small move, it seems like a mountain to me right now.
